Pharmacological properties:Local anesthetic. It is characterized by moderate anesthetic activity and broad therapeutic effect. In sensitive nerve endings, it opposes the generation of impulses and their conduction in nerve fibers. It suppresses not only pain impulses, but also impulses of other modalities. Blocks vegetative ganglia reduce smooth muscle spasms.
Indications:Local anesthesia, pain syndrome of various genesis. Use to dissolve some dry preparations for parenteral use.
