The Georgian Agency for Innovation and Technology’s goal is to create an effective system in Georgia whereby innovation and technology can be developed, as well as to promote the commercialization of innovative knowledge in order to incorporate the latest technologies into all economic sectors and to create the necessary platform for innovative development.

To achieve said goals, the agency endeavors to use its infrastructure in order to develop both innovation and technology, to focus on making the commercialization of Georgia’s innovation and technology development a priority, facilitate the growth of investment capital and encourage the participation of private businesses to increase research into the commercialization of innovations, and to establish effective processes needed to increase competitiveness, especially by promoting the use of distance learning.
